Function Immediately

The term "function immediately" is the clinical term that describes what we call teeth-in-an-hour.

One of the main drawbacks of dental implants has been the long healing period required. Implants are placed, and then the bone has to grow in around them to anchor them. It would likely be several months before the patient could use those teeth. In the interim, an uncomfortable temporary appliance such as a dental flipper would have to do for the patient.

New technology, however, makes functioning immediately a reality. CT scans and sophisticated three-dimensional computer image manipulation allows for the precise placement of implants, minimizing the healing time and also minimizing the post-operative discomfort.
