Dental Implant Horror Stories

Unfortunately, people are having many serious problems with dental implants in some cases.

There are many dentists who are attempting complex implant cases without the full training required. And there is a lot of pressure on those dentists to try shortcuts in order to speed the treatment, or to save money.

General issues of dental implant failure - Why they happen and what can be done for you after failure occurs.
Loose dental implants - Sometimes the fixtures don't ever become solid in the bone. More often, they are solid for a while and later become loose. Dr. Chal explains why and tells you what can be done about this.
If the looseness continues, eventually you can have the dental implant fall out. These situations can be treated, but it will require a new fixture and new surgery. Sometimes bone grafting may be required.
Dental implant infection results from several causes. Dr. Chal explains why this happens and what to do about it. There can be underlying health issues, inadequate healing time allowed, improper fit of the parts of the fixture, or just that the fixture becomes loose, allowing a pathway for infection. Some fixtures have been found penetrating sinus cavities.
